Drawing and PAINTING CLASSes

This course designed for students interested in enriching their artistic awareness while developing their skills as an artist. The focus of the course will be on ensuring students understand the key elements and principles of design; drawing, composition, value, edges, emphasis, shape relationships (positive and negative) perspective, rhythm, texture and colour. In addition, students will be encouraged to develop an artistic language in order to facilitate critiquing and problem solving of their own work and that of their fellow students. Ideal for the student wishing to enter a post secondary art school, college or university.

Time: Tuesday from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

LIFE DRAWING CLASS

       

This class is perfect for any artist – beginner or advanced – to continue to develop and master the art of drawing using the model. Each class will begin with gesture drawing followed by more sustained poses.  Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing – gesture, line, tone, shape relationships, proportion, and much more!  All drawing and painting materials are welcome.
