This class will cover composition, value/contrast/depth, colour theory and the basics of building a successful painting from photographic sources or still life (oil or acrylic).  Please bring your own materials - see materials list.

PRINTMAKING

Students will be introduced to basic printmaking using the "lino-cut" technique, which involves carving into linoleum tile to create an image.

Suited for Intermediate Levels. Students will be introduced to several approaches to abstract painting. We will study the work of contemporary artists and view videos for inspiration & technique. There will be time for independent exploration. Please bring your own materials - see materials list.

watercolour explorations
